Apologies to those who've pre-ordered the Fliptrix double vinyl of the Theory Of Rhyme album, they were due to ship yesterday, however it'll now be next Tuesday 1st April. The delay is due to the free Out The Box CD that comes with it, these won't arrive with us until next week. The CD release will also be available to purchase as an individual item, for anyone not wanting to buy the wax, bonus.
Yes yes, gotta give props to Deejay Postie for this article on his wicked blog, a track by track break down of a very limited Itch FM tape released back in 2001, of my Suspect Packages Radio Show with Jehst live. A lot of work has gone into this and you can hear the show too, maximum respek bro! Some serious UK Hip Hop history right here. Takes me back to some great times traveling to North London every Sunday night with my record bag, broadcasting from some very dodgy flats. And when i used to sing the intro too, extra bonus. Check it yo.
We've just secured some 7" stock of a limited 250 pressing of Lewis Parker's Game Of Charades track, a sick remake of the 1998 classic found on his debut album. It's coming your way via the King Underground label for Record Store Day. And keep it locked right here for some more RSD releases, although we're not a 'physical record store', and therefore cannot take part in Record Store Day, we have the connex, nah mean. ; )
Big big bass heavy sounds of Edinburgh producer duo Capitol 1212, and their debut vinyl album The Return Of Rudy Nacho, now in stock via Irish Moss Records. Produced by Zygote & Jazz T The Boot EP will come with instrumentals, a full colour sleeve, and download codes. Only 100 are being pressed. There'll be a video coming soon for the lead track called Yul Brynner, in the meantime, check out the taster below.
Greasy Vinyl Records drop their cd version of the all new Sleaze & Reklews release, An Album Called The Sun. A tight combination of emcee and producer for sure, Reklews lays some sick beats down here, and Sleaze does them justice. Bill Shakes, Res, Jman & DJ Rasp also join the proceedings, check the new video for Mario Stanza. The vinyl version should be with us next week, and we've also had a fresh re-up of Jman's Auranography album too.
Fresh produce now in stock... Veteran emcee Whirlwind D gets busy with his super ill 9 track vinyl album Nomansland, released via B-Line Recordings and featuring guest spots from Phill Most Chill, Chrome & Illinspired, Truck and Inzaine. Some crazy dope production onboard too, full of flavour, and housed in a swanky gatefold sleeve. Nice. All pre-orders are packed and ready to roll.
We also have some rather hefty Welsh Hip Hop now onboard, emcee/producer Mr Phormula has also been on his grind for a fair few years and brings us his 12 track album Cymud, in English this means Taking. A steady set of guest emcees also feature alongside Phormula; Dr Syntax, Sonnyjim, Leaf Dog, Joe Blow, Skamma, BVA and more. The killah video below is for one of the tracks Minority, the first on the album, however it's the Welsh version that features on the album, entitled Y Lleiafrifol. Don't let this put you off though, the album isn't all in Welsh! Check it out yo.
Yes yo, High Focus Records have a very limited double vinyl pressing incoming of the second Fliptrix album, Theory Of Rhyme, due for release on the 26th of March. It comes with a free 12 track CD entitled Out The Box, entirely produced by Rebs, and featuring 5 exclusive tracks, 6 remixes & 1 bonus cut, exclusive to this vinyl release. Nice!

Arrgh yeah! One of my favourite tracks off the recently released Ramson Badbonez album A Year In The Life Of Oscar The Slouch, here's the new video for Whateva Da Weatha featuring Mystro & Gadget. Such a dope track!
Bristol's Hundred Years label follows the massive Jago Wicked Try 12" with another fresh slice of heavyweight vinyl pressure. London based producer/DJ Adam Prescott delivers the production behind the massive driving sound of the four track Liberation Riddim 12". A serious piece of modern roots inna steppas style with artists Cornell Campbell, Donovan Kingjay, Galak Spiritual and Papa B all featuring a cut each. The horns piece alone is incredible, and then the other three vocal cuts too! 'Tis a boom shot.
I'm back in Southampton representing for the Headsessions Soundsystem Easter Special on the 5th of April at The Cellar. Upstairs will be the full Headsessions crew playing Roots Reggae, Dub & Steppas. Downstairs will be myself, George Chro and friends, controlling the Hip Hop pressure. Reach if you're in the manor, 'tis a lively night and a dope venue.
So it looks like the all new album The Misadventures Of A Middle Man is finally on its way from Essa (formaly known as Yungun), via First Word Records. The first fruits of this release will be the digital single The World Belongs To You, produced by Australian sensation Ta-Ku. The track is an up-tempo call for positivity, inspired by Essa's global travels. Accompanied by a sun-kissed video (shot on tour in China, Australia and Soundwave Croatia Festival), check the teaser below.
The full album will be released in early May on CD, LP and download. Plus a bonus seven-inch featuring an exclusive vinyl-only remix from Tall Black Guy, one of the all-star cast of producers assembled for the album, including Waajeed (Platinum Pied Pipers/Slum Village), Ta-Ku, fLako, Eric Lau and Budgie.

Fresh off the heals of the last 7" that sold out as soon as we got it in, comes the second installement from veteran UK crew Gutter Snypes. Once again a full colour cover encases the 7" with some sharp lyricism from Cel One on these two joints, Sucker Punch b/w Jillian. Production wise Sigher gets down with some purified breaks to create a wicked backdrop. One for the collection fa sho. All pre-orders are packed and in the post bag!
Back in stock, the mighty Bristol heavyweight Gorgon Sound EP. Double gatefold 12" niceness, nuh sleep, dis one's baaaad.
Brand new animation video for the Amdek produced, Leaf Dog featuring head banga, Crazy Trips, from BVA's Be Very Aware album, High Focus Records. Remember kids, it's not big, and it's not clever, but it can be a whole lotta fun.
Another fresh instrumental cassette release from Astral Black has landed. Young Glasgow based producer Inkke laces his Faded With Da Kittens set with some low slung 808 crunk, a healthy take on the Southern American rap beats that influenced this release. You'll also find one vocal cut that features emcee Depths. Only 100 of these made, they come with screen printed covers encasing blue tapes, or cassettes, whichever suits ya.
Two fresh pre-orders now available, grown man business. First up, and hot on the heels of the last release, comes a brand new one from Gutter Snypes, the full colour covered 7" steez of Sucker Punch b/w Jillian. This one will be with us on Friday, another sure shot from Cel & Sigher!
